OUR MAGAZINE ADVERT

In our magazine advert we have stuck to the conventions of the other adverts seen. Except for, we did not use a shot that had the artists complete face in the shot. However, we did include an image of the album. This way the audience will recognize the album when they see it in the shop or Itunes. We had included a QR code. This was due to the rise in new technology and QR codes are becoming more popular so that the audience can get directed straight to the artists web page. However, if the audience does not have access to a QR scanner then we have included the web page and twitter page of the artist so that they have another way to access the artist. We had also included reviews from R&B magazines and highly regarded newspapers, this would encourage the audience to think about the artist and, if they choose to, listen to the recommendation.

CHANGES FROM OUR ROUGHCUT

From our roughcut to our final video we had made many changes in it. Such as using the split screen effect, this was effective as it shows synesthsia. This is good as it gives the audience the opportunity to relate the lyrics with what is happening in the video.

This is a selection of the original photos that we had used for our digipacks. We had found these effective as it shows the conventions of R&B with the poses that are used throughout (Such as picture 5). Also picture 1 shows to be effective as it is the artist looking into the camera directly at our audience. This would make the audience members feel as though they are in contact with our artist.
