Trey Songz is an American singer songwriter. He is part of the RnB music genre. Hebegan his career in 2004 with hisdbut album, 'I Gotta Make It'. This album had sold 40,000 copies within the first week of sales. He then movedon to release 3 more albums: 'Trey Day', 'Ready' and 'Passion, Pain and Pleasure'. His most recent song 'Simply Amazing' which was released 3rd August 2012 and had reached Number 1 in the UK RnB chart.
From this video we would intend to use the expressions of the artist when he looks through the camera to the audience, this can be seen in the scenes of the music video when there is he mountain background. As well as this, his hand expessions continue to express his feelings further. In our piece this is the sort of direction we would like to show when our artist is performing in the video. Despite the conventions in this video being different to what we would like to portray, this use of filming is effective as it connects the audience with the artist through the video.
